Movie Review: The Commune (Kollektivet)

the commune

A very brief review because sometimes that’s all that’s needed…

They smoke too much, they drink too much beer, they make really stupid decisions and they all live together in a 450 sqm house in free-spirited, 1970s Denmark. THE COMMUNE is a thoroughly frustrating movie by Thomas Vinterberg, who also directed the amazing THE HUNT (JAGTEN). I don’t care that Vinterberg grew up in a commune. The film is boring.

If you’re having trouble sleeping, go see this film. Otherwise, give it a miss.
